Treatments and Trauma Care Facilities

We treat patients with the most critical conditions. There are a few tests that are done for Trauma patients.

Primary Survey

Computerized tomography test (CT) – this test is done to scan for the suspected traumatic brain injury. A CT scan uses a series of X Rays to give out a detailed view of the brain through which we can see for bleeding (haemorrhage), blood clots (hematomas), and brain tissue swelling.

Portable X-ray

It’s done for the detection of fractures, foreign bodies, hemithorax, etc.

Focused assessment with sonography for trauma- this test is done for the detection of pneumothorax and hemithorax.

Diagnostic peritoneal lavage (DPL)

It’s a diagnostic test used for the detection of bleeding or circus perforation of abdominal trauma.

Lab tests are done but are not just limited to

  • CBC
  • Basic chemistries
  • Prothrombin time
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood glucose
  • Lactate

Secondary Survey

This is done when the patient is completely stable. A thorough physical examination is done. Additional diagnostic tests are tailored to the previously done ones. The main goal of the secondary survey is to minimize the risk of missing injuries.

Tertiary Survey

These are a delayed re-examination of the patients. These are done usually done after 24 hours of the admission of the patients. This is down to detect the injuries which were missed in the previous examinations.

Emergency Surgery

Emergency surgeries are a very critical situation, and that is why we are there to provide you with the best doctors and treatments who are well experienced in all cases. Some of the emergencies that may require surgeries are:

  • Invasive types of resuscitation and surgery for certain causes of acute respiratory failure
  • Severe trauma to the head, chest, abdomen, or extremities
  • Severe burns
  • Cardiac events, such as heart attacks, cardiac shock, and cardiac arrhythmia
  • Aneurysms
  • Neurological conditions/brain conditions
  • Abdominal emergencies such as perforated ulcer, appendicitis, cholecystitis (gallbladder infection), or bowel blockage

The patient must be treated immediately. It involves the stabilization of the patient by a patient management team, preparing the patient for surgery, and post-operative and recovery procedures. Once the physical assessment is done, and the patient is stable, diagnostic tests will be ordered. These tests include CTs, X-Rays, MRI scans, and EKGs to help doctors determine what is wrong, how serious the problem is, and what is the best treatment possible. At our hospital, we will give only the best emergency medicine as well as acute care medicine to our patients, along with care from well-trained doctors and specialists for this specialty.

Monitors, IV tubes, feeding tubes, breathing machines, etc., are common in ICU. They help the person live, but sometimes they might increase the risk of infection. Some common reasons a person is admitted to an ICU includes:
